Robert J. CurreyDirectorRobert J. Currey has served as a director since 2003. Mr. Currey has been President and CEO of Consolidated Communications Inc (CCI) since 2002. From 2000 to 2002, Mr. Currey served as Vice Chairman of RCN Corporation, a CLEC providing telephony, cable and Internet services in high-density markets nationwide. From 1998 to 2000, Mr. Currey served as President and Chief Executive Officer of 21st Century Telecom Group. From 1997 to 1998, Mr. Currey served as Director and Group President of Telecommunications Services of McLeodUSA, which acquired the predecessor of CCI in 1997. Mr. Currey joined the predecessor of CCI in 1990 and served as President through its acquisition in 1997.
Donald TringaliExecutive Chairman
Tringali is an experienced corporate director, C-level operating executive and corporate attorney. He currently serves as CEO of Augusta Advisory Group, a boutique financial and business advisory firm that provides consulting services to businesses in transition. Prior to Augusta Advisory Group, Tringali was EVP and COO of Telemundo, responsible for all business operations and strategic initiatives, including leading its sale to Sony Corporation in 1998. He began his career as a corporate attorney representing Fortune 100 companies in media and other industries.
Tringali currently serves on the board of Caribbean Broadcasting Company and has served on other public and private boards, including National Technical Systems and Bank of Tucson.
Tringali received an A.B. in Economics from UCLA and J.D. from Harvard Law School. He is a member of the State Bar of California.
Williams brings to Cartesian’s board of directors more than 30 years of executive and financial experience. He has served in various senior leadership roles, including most recently as CFO of HRG Group (HRG), a multi-billion dollar diversified holding company whose principal operations are conducted through businesses that: offer branded consumer products; offer life insurance and annuity products; provide asset-backed loans; and own energy assets.
Prior to HRG, Williams was President and CEO of Reader’s Digest Inc., and spent more than 21 years with AT&T and Alcatel-Lucent, where he held senior financial and officer positions, including CFO of AT&T Networks and AT&T Laboratories.
Peter H. WoodwardDirector
Peter H. Woodward is a Director of Cartesian, responsible for overall corporate management and strategy.
Mr. Woodward has served as Director of Cartesian since January 2012 and was Chairman of the Board of Directors from June 2012 until June 2015.
Mr. Woodward has twenty years of experience investing in public companies and working with management teams to drive operational performance. Prior to joining Cartesian, Mr. Woodward was the President of MHW Capital Management, a private investment firm he founded in 2005. Before founding MHW, Mr. Woodward was a Managing Director for Regan Fund Management. He has served on the board of directors of several public companies and is currently the Chairman of the Boards of Directors of TSS, Inc. and Precision Options Corporation.Mr. Woodward graduated from Colgate University with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and from Columbia University with a Master’s Degree in International Economics, and he is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
Micky K. WooDirector
Micky K. Woo has served as a director of the Company since 1991 and is currently a self-employed Senior Strategic Advisor. Mr. Woo served as a senior executive with the Company from 1991 through June 2012. Mr. Woo served as Executive Chairman of the Company from January 2012 through June 2012, and served as President and Chief Operating Officer from 2007 until January 2012. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Woo served from 1989 to 1991 as Vice President of Information Systems and Revenue Assurance at Telesphere Communications Inc. From 1987 to 1989, Mr. Woo was the Director of Revenue and Treasury Management at Sprint Corporation and from 1983 to 1987 he served in management at MCI Communications Corporation, including Senior Manager of Receivables Management, Senior Manager of the East Coast Billing Center, and Senior Manager of Revenue Reporting and Analysis. Prior to entering the telecommunications industry, Mr. Woo was a consultant with Price Waterhouse (now PricewaterhouseCoopers). Mr. Woo received his BA in Computer Science and an MA in Accounting from the University of Iowa. Mr. Woo’s prior experience as an executive of the Company and his prior business experience enable him to provide valuable guidance to the Board in overseeing the Company’s business.
